Homeschooling Why and How

Spanking

Excellent article covering decades of research tells of the negative impacts of spanking. It ends with a wish for some positive ideas and suggests time outs. Even those, in my opinion, are punishment. We need to teach our children right from wrong as we would wish to be taught — with gentleness, eye contact, appeal to our own humanity and spirit and with loving trust that we want to do what’s right but just aren’t sure yet how to do that. Of course, most homeschoolers already know this — it’s one of the things that drives us to homeschool: so we can teach our children good values. http://news.yahoo.com/spanking-produces-troubled-kids-study-contends-170209815.html
